WELCOME TO THE BAMBURGH PAVILION – THE HUB OF ACTIVITIES IN BAMBURGH, NORTHUMBERLAND

See IMPORTANT UPDATED INFORMATION below regarding use of the Pavilion

Bamburgh Pavilion plays a central role in the life of the beautiful village of Bamburgh on the Northumberland coast.  The Pavilion is located on the northern edge of the ‘Green’ at the base of the spectacular Bamburgh Castle, with views over the cricket pitch and croquet lawns.

The Pavilion is an active hub for the whole village of Bamburgh.  It is the main venue for various village meetings and activities as well as hosting many local clubs and organisations.

Managed by a committee of Trustees, the Pavilion is a registered charity.  Largely self-funding through the events and activities it hosts, it has received some government grant money which has helped to fund recent refurbishments including the tennis court located next to the Pavilion.

Given its stunning location, the Pavilion can be hired as a venue for a variety of private events such as receptions, fairs, concerts, plays and other celebrations. It comprises a large hall with tables and seating available, an outside terrace overlooking the Green as well as a fully fitted kitchen, cloakrooms  and changing rooms.  For more information, please click here.

BAMBURGH PAVILION REMAINS OPEN – FACE COVERINGS MANDATORY

Bamburgh Pavilion remains open for User Groups and for private hire.  However, the Pavilion is now explicitly included in the list of community centres where face coverings MUST be worn unless the individual has an exemption. The responsibility to wear a covering is that of the individual, and not the organiser of an activity or the pavilion committee.  Appropriate signage is in place.  The regulations permit the removal of face coverings for the following only:

performance, service, rehearsal or part of a choir;
when it is not practical to wear a covering, such as when eating, drinking or participating in exercise.

The onus is still on users of the Pavilion to take personal responsibility to limit the spread of COVID-19, especially as the numbers affected by the Omicron variant continue to rise.  Although the Pavilion does not require a NHS Covid Pass for entry to organised events due to the limitation on its capacity, you may choose to minimise the number, proximity and duration of social events at this time.
